Triggering reality

TRIGGERING REALITY. New conditions for art and architecture in the Netherlands, proposed by the Centro per l'arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato, Italy from the 16th of December 2012 to the 10th of March 2013, the reality of space is questioned, investigated, reproduced, represented and criticized by artists and architects that have long searched to redefine themselves and their role in society.

La mostra "triggering reality. Nuove condizioni per l'arte e l'architettura in Olanda". proposta dal Centro per l'arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci di Prato dal 16 dicembre al 10 marzo 2013, racconta la realtà dello spazio contemporaneo, messo alla prova, investigato, riprodotto da artisti e architetti in cerca di una ridefinizione del loro stesso ruolo sociale.

Istanbul: a week full of art

Art Istanbul: the first week-long celebration of contemporary culture held in one of the world's most extraordinary and culturally-rich cities. Art Istanbul will host a number of cultural activities, namely Turkey's leading international art fair, Contemporary Istanbul, and will also provide access to new cultural offerings, discussions and education programme working with the most prestigious institutions, museums, cultural centers and leading commercial galleries between November 19th and 25th.

Hepworth Wakefield Gallery

The Hepworth Wakefield is Yorkshire’s inspiring new art gallery, celebrating the area’s unique artistic legacy and exploring the work of major contemporary artists. Designed by David Chipperfield Architects, the ten superb gallery spaces make this one of the UK’s largest purpose-built galleries outside London. The gallery brings together work from Wakefield’s art collection, exhibitions by contemporary artists and rarely seen works by Barbara Hepworth.

POP ART DESIGN

Pop Art is widely regarded as the most significant artistic movement since 1945. Reflecting on the cult of celebrity, commodity fetishism and media reproduction that permeated everyday life in the postwar era, Pop Art continues to shape our society’s cultural self-understanding to this day. A central characteristic of Pop Art was the dialogue between design and art, which is now being explored in “Pop Art Design” at the Vitra Design Museum as the first-ever comprehensive exhibition on the topic.

Last days to visit the exhibition Panorama 4 at the Fortress of Fortezza. The works of 33 artists from South Tyrol will be exhibited up to 30th September in the massive building opened in 1835.
