A Century of Pastoe

Pastoe marks its centenary on 13 April 2013. From February 23rd to June 2nd, 2013, there will be an exhibition at Kunsthal Rotterdam (NL). A team of designers, architects, artists and photographers of national and international importance will be helping decide on suitable content for the festivities. The program is being put together around three themes: History, Environment and Innovation. A centennial book exploring these themes will be published in both Dutch and English editions.

A number of special offers will be brought out to mark the company’s hundred years in business, including a centennial cabinet!

Vitra Eames

Basic Armchair

This armchair is basic twice: once because it's been expressly designed for the Chic & Basic Hotel lobby; twice because it is the minimal yet acceptable image of an armchair. A gentle interpretation of the Danish archetype…with a Mediterranean touch. 

Splinter

Splinter is the newest collection by Nendo. Each piece has the appearance of being splintered with wood that is peeling away from itself. In woodworking, a splintered or broken piece of timber is generally deemed defective. But not for Nendo.  

FRAME MOOOI AWARD

Frame and Moooi are both leaders in the design industry; glossy pages of Frame magazine focus on cutting-edge interiors, while Moooi strives to create spectacular furnishings and lighting. Combining the interests of both organizations, the Frame Moooi Award was launched to target interior designers and architects who custom created a lamp or furnishing for a specific interior. There’s just one condition: these must be products that can lead a life outside the interior for which they were designed.
